Michael grew up in Spokane, where he attended Gonzaga Prep. He then went on to the University of Idaho and graduated with a degree in Sports Science. After graduation, he worked at Nike in Beaverton, OR where he ran the Corporate Fitness Center. This position allowed him to coach others to reach their potential. This experience grew his interest in education and development, so he moved back to Spokane to attend Eastern Washington University and earn his Teaching Degree.
Upon graduation from EWU, Michael worked as a Substitute Teacher and Cross Country Coach in the Spokane Area. In 1998, he transitioned into Medical Sales, where he worked for 20 plus years, primarily with Bayer Pharmaceuticals. He enjoyed consulting with clients on the products available and helping health care professionals make the best decisions for their patients. During this time, Michael connected with the community and helped develop local athletes by coaching his daughter’s soccer team from U6 through U17. He excelled on developing their potential, while encouraging their individual achievements.
Michael is passionate about the Spokane region and the lifestyle and opportunities it provides. His desire to share this region with others, along with his entrepreneurial spirit led him to a career in real estate.
Michael and his wife have 2 daughters and have been homeowners in the Spokane area for over 25 years. In his spare time, he enjoys biking, running, swimming and a little golf. He has completed 3 Iron Man competitions and the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon race. He cycles with local groups around the Spokane area. His family also enjoys snow skiing at Mt. Spokane and Schweitzer.
